The Vollrath Company of Sheboygan, Wisconsin began as an enamelware company and earned a national reputation in the 19th century. Later, its enamelware market expanded from home use to some of the foremost restaurants, hospitals and other institutions in the United States. As the needs of the marketplace changed, Vollrath responded by replacing enamelware with stainless steel and expanding its product offering. The Vollrath Company has a corporate aircraft hanger in Sheboygan Falls for their corporate use.
